Most everything worked out in the end but I have something to write about! My bikes almost got stollen off the back of my car this morning. I walked out to go to work and found the bikes like this:
Someone had successfully broken the chain and the cable locks I had on the bikes but didn’t make it very far with them. I guess they gave up and tried to take the wheel when an officer happened by. I’m still not 100% sure how all that went down but the officer did manage to save my bikes (and their wheels) from getting stollen! Officer Tucker left their card with an incident number. I reached out but haven’t heard anything back yet. I also want to see if I can get my hands on the police report so I can better understand what happened.
Anywho, that was the start of my day! Tonight I got a trailer and loaded up some couches I’m taking to Davis, CA where my brother is. I leave tomorrow and will split the journey into two days since I’ll be traveling a little slower with the couches in tow. Definitely excited for another adventure!
